Cheat Not Launching? The Fix-It Checklist to Run Before Contacting Support

Cheat not launching, the loader closing or showing a cryptic error? In most cases the cause takes a few minutes to find if you check things in order. This checklist isn't about installing, it's about troubleshooting: what to look at when you've followed the instructions and nothing works.

Why a cheat won't launch

Most often it comes down to one of five things: the product is being updated, your Windows doesn't meet the requirements, an antivirus or Windows Defender is blocking it, system libraries are missing, or other software such as FACEIT anti-cheat or overlays gets in the way. Go through the steps from top to bottom and try launching again after each one.

Step 1. Check the product status

The first thing to do is open the product page and check the status. If it says "Updating", the problem isn't your PC: after a game patch, the supplier releases a new build, and launching before then won't work.

Statuses on popular games like Rust, Tarkov and PUBG can change several times a day. Update news appears fastest in the Goldencheats Telegram channel.

Step 2. Compare your system with the requirements

Every product page has a "System requirements" block: supported CPUs, Windows versions, anti-cheat and game mode. For example, some cheats only support Windows 10 Pro and Windows 11 Pro of specific builds and windowed mode only. You can check your Windows version with the winver command (press Win+R and type it).

Check the bitness too. On a 32-bit system the loader usually fails with errors like "ke init error" or "err us 10 2", since products are built for 64-bit Windows. Note that a system that doesn't meet the requirements is not grounds for a refund.

Step 3. Antivirus, Windows Defender and SmartScreen

If the loader closes instantly or shows "ep error 101" or "ep err: 49", security software is almost always the cause. Antivirus, Windows Defender, the firewall and SmartScreen see the loader as a suspicious program and block it. A third-party antivirus is best removed, and built-in protection should be turned off the way your product's instructions describe.

Step 4. Admin rights and a fresh folder

The loader should run as administrator. If you get "malloc err" or "gui error 3 0 0 0", delete the loader folder, download it again and put it in a new folder. That's often enough to clear the error.

Step 5. DirectX, Visual C++ and your GPU driver

If the error mentions file names like d3dx9_43 or MSVCR100.dll, your system is missing libraries:

• d3dx9_43 and similar: install DirectX and restart your PC.
• MSVCR100.dll and similar: remove old Visual C++ versions, reinstall all packages and restart.
• Errors after a Windows update: reinstall your graphics card driver.

Step 6. Remove conflicting software

Errors like "ke drv err", "ke error", "ke64 error" and "pi64 error" mean another program is blocking the launch. Usually it's an antivirus or FACEIT anti-cheat. Its driver loads with Windows and stays in the system even if you aren't playing CS2 right now. Such programs need to be removed or closed in Task Manager.

Overlays and "FPS boosters" belong here too: it's generally better not to run products alongside them. Close everything unnecessary before launching.

Step 7. Restart your PC

Many of the fixes above only take effect after a restart: installing DirectX and Visual C++, removing an antivirus, unloading drivers. If you changed something and are trying again right away, restart first and then check.

Common errors and what usually helps

• ep error 101, ep err: 49. Turn off antivirus, Windows Defender, the firewall and SmartScreen.
• malloc err, gui error 3 0 0 0. Redownload the loader to a new folder and update DirectX and your GPU driver.
• d3dx9_43 in the error text. Install DirectX and restart your PC.
• MSVCR100.dll in the error text. Reinstall all Visual C++ packages.
• ke drv err, ke error, ke64 error, pi64 error. Remove or close antivirus and FACEIT AC.
• ke init error, err us 10 2. Make sure Windows is 64-bit and a supported version.

FAQ

It worked yesterday but won't launch today. Why?

Most likely the game got a patch and the product went into updating. Check the status on the product page and in the Telegram channel. If it says "Working", go through the checklist from step 2.

Do I need to remove FACEIT to launch a cheat?

If you see errors like "ke drv err" or "ke64 error", usually yes: FACEIT AC blocks the launch even when you aren't playing on FACEIT. Sometimes closing it in Task Manager and restarting is enough.

Can I get a refund if my system doesn't meet the requirements?

No. Refunds aren't available if your system specs don't match the product description, so check the requirements before buying.
